More free chapters, this time from “Illegal”

Published by bookish at 12:05 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Bantam Dell seems to do this a lot: offer the first three chapters of a new book free online. I’m really liking this promotional strategy.

This week, it’s Illegal, by Paul Levine, since the book will be released next Tuesday (March 24, 2009).

Levine, a former news reporter, law professor, and trial lawyer, finally landed on novel-writing as his career. (As his website says, “Obviously, he cannot hold a job.” But I prefer to think he was just gaining as much experience as he could in the field he wanted to write in.) He previously published several novels in various series, among them Solomon vs. Lord and the Jake Lassiter series.

With Illegal, Levine begins a new series featuring shady lawyer Jimmy Payne.

You can look over the first three chapters of this latest book on Bantam Dell’s Blood on the Page site, where the publisher has a reader already set up for you.

And if you’d like to buy it, try the handy link below.
